- Read all notices and information provided before using the machines.
- You acknowledge that any subscriptions can be cancelled at any time without notice by the customer and thus a refund is not available in the case a membership is not cancelled due to the customer forgetting. The responsibility falls with the customer to cancel through the site when they don’t want the payment to continue.
- Do not bring food or drink into the gym except water in appropriate water bottles.
- Please bring a towel to place over the gym seats or benches and wipe down the upholstery if needed.
- In the interests of safety and courtesy please return the pins to weight no.1 or 2 on all machines after use.
- Please consider other users, especially at busy times.
- To ensure your gym is fit for use, we might need to close it – or certain areas – from time to time. Thanks for your patience.
- If we need to change the gym’s opening hours for any reason, we’ll aim to give you as much notice as possible.
- Only food purchased at the gym can be eaten in the premises. After all, crunching abs is better for you than crunching crisps.
- Please wear appropriate footwear & gym attire at all times i.e. no bare chests, no denim and never train in bare feet. For safety reasons, bags are not permitted onto the gym floor and correct attire must be worn when exercising i.e. suitable comfortable exercise clothing and appropriate footwear. Clothing such as jeans, boots, flip-flops/sandals or work wear are not permitted. Any member not wearing suitable attire may be asked to leave the gym.
- You’re welcome to join a class once it’s started but the instructor might ask you to warm up first.
- As much as you’d like to, you can’t live at Better Bodies Blackburn so please be ready to leave by closing time.
- Please replace weights and don’t drop them as it: (i) is a safety hazard, (ii) damages the kit, (iii) disturbs other members.
- In the changing rooms, please close lockers after use, put all rubbish in the bins.
- Please treat the car park considerately (esp. disabled spaces) and leave it as you’d expect to find it.
- We consider our members and staff one big, happy, healthy family so please respect the club, our staff and each other at all times.
- If you’re using a smartphone, tablet or other device in the club or as part of your workout it’s your responsibility to keep it safe and secure, we encourage you to keep it on you rather than on the equipment.
- Appropriate behaviour is required at all times so as not to jeopardise your safety or the safety of others. If in our reasonable opinion, a member’s continued membership is likely to be injurious to the character and interests of Better Bodies Blackburn, we reserve the right to terminate that membership.
- Please be respectful of other peoples’ privacy when using personal technology in the club. You must get prior permission from all the people who will appear in any photograph you take or video footage you make whilst at the gym. Retrospective consent should also be obtained where images are accidentally captured and the image/footage deleted where consent is withheld. If you intend to use an image then you must explain what it will be used for and who might see it and get the persons consent to do so. We reserve the right to cancel a member(s) membership or ask a visitor(s) to leave the premises if personal technology is inappropriately used. We are aware that filming and photography takes place from time to time so if you do not wish your image to be used in any filming or photography by Better Bodies Blackburn please inform a member of the team.
- The Membership access process and Member usage is monitored by CCTV 24/7 to ensure the safety and security of our Members.
- This membership is solely for the use of the member to whom it was issued. It may not be passed on to anyone else.
- On joining, all members are offered a comprehensive induction to instruct you on the use of the gym equipment. You are strongly advised to pay close attention to this.
- Better Bodies Blackburn will not accept any liability for any claim for personal injury if you use the gym equipment having not undertaken an induction from a qualified member of Better Bodies Blackburn staff.
- If you are unsure as to how to use any piece of equipment you must seek advice from a qualified member of Better Bodies Blackburn staff before using such equipment.
- You may not use the gym whilst under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, tranquillisers or any medication or other substance which may affect your ability to exercise safely.
- Better Bodies Blackburn reserves the right to remove you from the premises if it reasonably believes you are unfit to use the facilities.
- Please ensure weights are put back in their original place when finished with, failure to do so may result in your membership being terminated.
- Please do not misuse the weights by dropping them on the floor, failure to do so may result in your membership being terminated.
- You must not behave in an aggressive, abusive, anti-social or threatening manner to any staff or member, anyone doing so will have their membership terminated immediately and Better Bodies Blackburn reserves the right to contact the Police if deemed necessary.
- Only Better Bodies Blackburn licensed personal trainers are permitted to train members in the Gym unless granted express permission in writing from Better Bodies Blackburn Central support. Anyone else undertaking members’ training will be asked to leave the gym immediately.
- Members are solely responsible for their own belongings whilst visiting Better Bodies Blackburn. Better Bodies Blackburn accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property.
- Members are asked to only use the lockers for the duration of their training session. Lockers will be emptied at night and members items removed to lost property. Padlocks may be broken to gain access and will not be replaced by Better Bodies Blackburn.
- Although we will always endeavour to return any articles of lost property to the owner, we do not take responsibility for any item held in lost property. Such items will be kept until claimed, but for no longer than one week after which time the items will either be donated to charity or destroyed.
- Members must inform Better Bodies Blackburn of any change of contact and email address or telephone numbers. These changes can be made by calling 07413401192 or at the gym reception.
- By accessing the gym and using the gym equipment members are deemed to have read and understood the terms and conditions of membership.
- Should your Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire result in you being required to discuss your intention to exercise with your doctor, please be aware that your subscription remains active and any fees collected are non-refundable.
- Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is strictly prohibited in all areas of the gym. Any member found to be in breach of this rule may have their membership terminated.
- Members may not bring any pets (other than guide dogs) into the gym.
- I declare that I have read the Better Bodies Blackburn Gym Rules and that the information I have given is to the best of my knowledge true and that I am not aware of any reason why I should not use the facilities at Better Bodies Blackburn.
- I understand that I use the equipment at my own risk and that I adhere to the gym rules and etiquette. I accept personal liability for any injury, illness or loss.
- I also understand that the information provided on this form may be shared with other health care professionals if necessary.
- I understand that current GDPR legislation’s apply.
- I agree that I can only attend if I am 15 years of age with adult supervision or 16 and above unaccompanied.
- I understand that Better Bodies Blackburn is not responsible for the occurrence of any natural disasters, viruses transmitted, illnesses or damage caused by such instances and it is my responsibility to advise Better Bodies Blackburn of any information regarding this. No refunds will be given due to the reasons stated in this paragraph.
- In compliance with Food Labelling Regulations. Customers are advised to let our staff know if any food may cause a reaction prior to order. If you would like to know the list of ingredients used in a particular dish/product from the menu the manager will be happy to assist you.
